Really, God?! Are you going to let this one more horrible thing take place in the life of my son? That was my thought in April 2011 when my handsome teenager, who had already endured a lifetime of suffering, was diagnosed with brain cancer. Prior to his diagnosis, I had gotten to a place of not knowing how to pray for him, and I relied daily on the Holy Spirit to make groanings from my heart to the Father to express what I could not put into words. During his year of cancer treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, I journaled my thoughts online in a CaringBridge blog for family and friends. This book contains those posts and other stories about faith and family. Read how cancer saved the life of my son, Gabriel, and in essence encouraged hundreds of people in their walk of faith.
