Concerning Prayer

The Christian faith includes two major forms of prayer; active (talking to God) and passive (listening to God). As in any relationship, regular, ongoing communication is necessary. Without it, relationships soon deteriorate. In many relationships, people focus on their own stories and needs. A common mistake with prayer is to do all the talking. Listening is essential if we regard prayers as communication.
