Actively Responding to God and His Word
Introduction What is your most vivid memory of children's church or Sunday school? Ask adults this question, and many will recall the big events--times when they invested a lot of themselves in a Sunday school project. Maybe they dressed up in Bible-time costumes and put on a musical play for the congregation. Maybe they planned and put on an all-afternoon missionary fair. Or they might have constructed a Jerusalem marketplace and invited people from a nursing home to visit. Some kids learn best when the usual classroom routine is set aside for a project that requires large-scale planning and creativity. This book is designed for those kids. It is full of peak-experience activities that sometimes require lots of time and effort. In addition, it includes short projects that take only a few minutes. Use this resource to involve the children who don't seem excited about church. Use it when you feel like doing something different. Get set so make memories!
