The Surfer faces off against the imposter. After an intense battle, one stands triumphant, and the other lies unconscious, though Nova is not sure which is which. They continue on, but Nova is tricked and captured. It is revealed that this Surfer is a Skrull, who was drawing heavily on transmitted power in order to defeat the original. Without the forewarning he had for this battle, he falls before Ronan the Accuser extremely quickly. Nova returns to the original Surfer. Finally, Skrull Agent Krat crash lands on Earth, and sends up a flare of some kind just before his death at the hands of paranoid humans.
