Coloured atlas of the Chinese materia medica specified in pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China

The 522 Chinese crude drugs and their preparations specified in this atlas are arranged in accordance with the standardized Chinese Pharmacopoeia of 1995. The main feature of the text is the vast number of colored photos (over 1500) including more than 600 photos of original plants, 659 photos of crude drugs, and 241 photos of microscopic characteristics. Photos of plants were taken in their natural habitat, usually when with fruit or flower. Chinese, Pinyin, English, and Latin names are listed for each substance, followed by Chinese and English descriptions with action and indications, usage and dosage.
