“Cry-Baby” is the story of Greaser, Wade Walker (Johnny Depp) who is known as Cry Baby for his ability to shed a single tear on command. Set against the 1950’s Greaser backdrop, Wade falls in love with a square named Allison Vernon-Williams (Amy Locane) who is tired of being a good girl, which are all the qualities Wade finds alluring in her. Allison is tired of being good and has decided she’s going to become bad to gain the affections of Wade who after being sent to the Juvenile Detention Center has decided to become good to win Allison. Talk about mixed signals.
