Colors

“Colors” showcases the life of law enforcement in East Los Angeles. It opens with veteran Officer Bob Hodges (Robert Duvall) paired up with a confident young cop, Officer Danny McGavin (Sean Penn). Officer Hodges has to show McGavin the ropes down in the barrios, a vile and dangerous gang controlled section of the East L. A. The barrios are about to explode in violence and bloodshed as gang cultures clash with the rest of the world and Officer McGavin learns for himself the one lesson his partner can’t teach him, a lesson about the difference of the colors worn by all.
