Roberta Glass (Rosanna Arquette) lives a pretty boring unfulfilling life as a New York City house wife. In fact, she is desperate to change herself and her life in a way she can. She gets her wish granted in a rather unlikely way, when she is savagely struck on the head and is knocked unconscious. She awakens to find that everyone she meets believes that she is in fact not Roberta at all, but rather a sexy vixen named Susan (Madonna). Roberta later tracks to down Susan within the city and the two exchange a mysterious jacket which gets them into all kinds of trouble.
