Efter brylluppet

Efter brylluppet is the story of Jacob Pedersen (Mads Mikkelsen), a young man who philanthropically fills his day by running a small orphanage in India. The orphanage is seriously struggling financially and will close leaving the children without a home and Pedersen without a purpose if something is not done immediately. One day, a wealthy Danish businessman seeks out Jacob and offers him four million dollars to keep the orphanage form closing but there is one major catch: Jacob is required to return to Denmark and attend the man’s daughter’s wedding where a terrible secret will be revealed to him. Jacob must now decide his own fate and moreover the fate of the orphanage in response to this offer.
