Sisters Kat Arujo (Annabeth Gish) and Daisy Arujo (Julia Roberts), along with friend JoJo (Lili Taylor), are teens that work at the local Mystic, Conn pizza parlor. Kat is smart, but mousy. She is on her way to college, but feels like she is missing something. Daisy is gorgeous, but doesn’t seem to have anything on her mind but having fun. JoJo is a local who is engaged to a local fisherman, but can’t seem to go through with the marriage. This is their last summer together and they’ve decided to go for what they want most. Kat becomes involved with the father of a child she is babysitting. Daisy begins to fall for a guy she is dating from the wealthy side of town. JoJo tries to focus on getting the secret of the pizza recipe from the chef so that she can run the shop one day. All three learn some valuable life lessons and to value what they have before the summer ends.
