The Eagle: A Crime Odyssey
Ørnen: 1-24
As international terrorism and organised crime become more and more intertwined, Western nations find themselves increasingly threatened by violence and lawlessness on an unimaginable scale. In Denmark, a special unit is set up to fight cross-border crime throughout Scandinavia and to establish operational links with similar teams around the world. In Copenhagen, charismatic detective Hallgrim Hallgrimsson (Jens Albinus) assembles a team of crime fighters equipped with the most advanced technology and high-tech weapons. Called "The Eagle" for his unerring intuition, Hallgrimsson exudes competence and self-assurance; but behind the dynamic facade is a tormented personality...
As Deputy Detective Inspector "Ørnen" is to fly to his dying mom on Iceland, he's called off the plane to take charge of the investigation in Copenhagen Airport of a murdered cop with a gun and ID missing. Are terrorists hijacking a plane?
After killing 3 cops and a criminal, Sergey escape to Sweden with Mr. Luka, also Russian. The Swedish police and "Ørnen" with his new team of int'l criminal investigators look for them while investigating the dead cop's relation to Sergey.
When a wealthy Norwegian businesswoman is found dead outside Hallgrim's hotel, the team is led once more to Sergei and an intricate money-laundering scheme.
The trail of murders, including the crown witness, shows Hallgrim that he is getting dangerously close to Sergei. The team discover some mysterious powder.
When the police seize a consignment of enriched uranium, Hallgrim makes a deal with Sergei in order to discover its planned destination.
In trying to find the truth about a batch of uranium that was seized by the Danish police, Hallgrim befriends a Chechen scientist in Oslo who has a sinister mission in life.
Hallgrim and Marie attend a conference in Sweden and they locate the person behind the Lithuanian sex trade.
After hovering between life and death, Hallgrim survives a knife attack. He and the team locate the perpetrator who is fighting to control the Balkan drug trade in Scandinavia.
