Monty Brogan (Edward Norton) re-evaluates his life in the 24-hour countdown to a long jail term. While he dreamt of following his father's footsteps as a fireman, Monty fell into the easy life of selling drugs. As things spin out of control, he can't trade the easy road for the respected job he has always dreamt of. 58After Monty agrees to turn himself into the authorities, he and friends Jacob (Phiilip Seymour Hoffman) and Frank (Barry Pepper) spend one last emotional night on the town, reliving the past and worrying about the future. As day breaks and Monty's freedom ends, he decides on a new course of action, and a shocking ending.
