Tinka has not yet made the new form of government work that she had imagined. When Ingi puts her on the trail of a family secret, Tinka and Lasse search for answers in the human world.
Tinka finds it difficult to make an impact as First Elf in front of the members of the Collection. Lasse prioritizes the music over the Collection and the conflicts in the Kingdom of the Goblins, and Falke, Grot and Birk decide behind Tinka's back to depose her as First Elf.
Tinka confides in Ingi in the tower of loneliness. Ingi gets to borrow the scrolls with the gnomes' history, even though Tinka has actually promised to give them back to Skir.
Ingi tells Tinka that she has found a family tree that shows that Kong Storm had two children. Could Tinka have a sibling in the human world?
Lasse decides to help Tinka find out if she has an unknown sibling. The search leads them to the city's student dormitories.
Tinka manages to get into the student dormitories on her own, and to her great surprise she meets her twin sister Flora.
Flora shows Tinka her colorful dormitory life. Nille sends word that Tinka must come home, but right at the portal Tinka gets another idea.
Tinka and Flora have switched identities. Tinka plays well, and not even Lasse can see through her. Gullible Flora, on the other hand, gets into trouble.
In the human world, Tinka is busy with the annual Christmas party. In the Kingdom of the Gnomes, Flora has opened her eyes to politics, despite Tinka's warnings.
Flora tells Ingi that she is going back to the human world, which fits perfectly with Ingi's secret plan to capture both Tinkas.
Lasse follows Tinka to the portal, so that she and Flora can switch places as agreed. Ingi needs help from Filea to carry out her plan.
Chaos reigns in the Kingdom of the Goblins. Grot, Birk and Falke are still missing, the portal won't open, and all the mirrors have gone completely black.
The collection goes to town to get help deciphering the scrolls. While they wait for an answer, Lasse takes the gnomes to playland.
The collection tries to find a tunnel between Søgaard and Nissenes Rike. Flora searches for a magical crystal that can send her back home.
The group prepares to go through the tunnel to the Realm of the Gnomes. Mikkel is afraid of losing Lasse and does not allow him to join.
Tinka, Grot, Birk and Falke have ended up completely off the map. Flora finds the king's crystal and gives it to Ingi as promised, but Ingi has a cunning plan.
To get safely to Helvard Forest, the goblins have to sneak through the trolls' camp, but not everyone finds it so easy to be quiet.
Tinka is determined to get through the Helvard Forest alone. But the forest is bewitched and Tinka is trapped in her own nightmare.
Tinka tells the truth about how Ingi got hold of the rolls, and exactly what she thinks about the way the collection dismissed her.
