A law student who appears to have his life together and is progressing in school and in life is reacquainted with a former poker playing friend who draws him into his evil web. As a result he loses his girlfriend, his educational opportunity and must play poker with a Russian gangster to save his life. By cunning and bluffing, he beats the Russian and regains his path to normalcy. Great acting! The poker playing scenes and the portrayals of the various characters are outstanding. There are degenerate gamblers, professional gamblers and everyday people who play poker. It is realistic and scary.
