The Last King Of Scotland

The Last King of Scotland is about Dr. Nicholas Garrigan, a newly qualified doctor who decides to go to Africa to practice medicine on a gap year. He arrives during the uprising of Idi Amin who takes a liking of him because he is Scottish. He soon becomes a friend and advisor to Amin before things start going awry. Dr Garrigan takes a fancy to one of Amins wives and later he realises the seriousness he has got himself into when his passport is removed and he has to remain in Uganda almost as a pet of the great leader who seems to becoming more deranged by the day.
