I'm not there is a trip into the life of Bob Dylan a very famous singer and songwriter but the film is not a simple biography. Six actors play different characters representing an aspect and a moment into Dylan's life: Jack Rollins (Christian Bale) is Dylan after he became a born-again while Woody Guthrie (Marcus Carl Franklin) represents his childhood. The most important characters of the story are Jude Quinn (Cate Blanchett) who plays the poet part of Dylan's personality. All these characters have a story completely different from each other but they form a whole film which strikes the viewer by its poetry and especially by its originality.
