Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare

The sixth installment in the Nightmare on Elm Street series finds the town of Springwood, Ohio nearly decimated by Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund). A teenager named simply John Doe (Shon Greenblatt), wanders in a daze not knowing who he is or where he comes from, but holding a newspaper article about someone named Loretta Krueger. When John is picked up by the police, Dr. Maggie Burroughs (Lisa Zane), who works at a troubled youth shelter, takes him under her wing. She determines to take him to the town of Springwood, which is mentioned in the article he carries, three other youth tag along in an effort to escape the shelter. Before long the youth are all dead except for Tracy (Lezlie Deane), and together with Maggie they escape Springtown, while discovering that Maggie is Freddy's daughter. Everyone but Doc (Yaphet Kotto) has forgotten all the youth, but Doc helps Maggie realize that she must get Freddy into the real world to kill him, and determines to do so.
