Ugly is a duckling who is, quite true to his name, ugly. Rejected by his mother for being too different to fit in with his brothers, he wanders the barnyard trying to find a place to fit in. He is harassed and abused, so he leaves to fend for himself in a judgmental world. He meets Ratso (Morgan C. Jones), a slick city rat who can only see dollar signs. He thinks that Ugly would make a pretty big profit in a carnival sideshow, so he decides to exploit his appearance. Of course, Ugly’s life is headed for something very different that freak show novelty, but it takes some growing up for him to realize where he really fits in.
