Published in association with British Rail, this book describes 50 of the most scenic stretches of Britain's railways, and identifies landmarks, places of interest and any remarkable engineering features along the routes. Destination points and interesting stopping-off places are also highlighted. Each double-page spread contains information about the frequency of the train service, as well as walks (sometimes along abandoned railway tracks) and cycle rides, tourist information centres, and practical details about places to visit.
