A Hug for Percy Porcupine

Webster Henrietta Pub (Sep 30, 2005)

Plot

A winsome story that also provides an opportunity to record a child's thumbprint, this vividly illustrated tale of parents' love will be a favorite and an heirloom. When Percy Porcupine asks his parents for a hug, he asks for the one thing they cannot give. They can, however, show their love in other ways, such as fending off enemies or bumping noses with each other. Percy learns that a hug doesn't have to look like a hug to be a gesture of affection. Using the included ink pad, children use their thumbprint to form Percy's nose throughout the book, making it a fun activity and a treasured keepsake. It is aimed at children of ages 4 to 8 years.
