Plot

Many years have passed since Morris Kaplan celebrated Hanukkah as a boy with his family in Poland. He doesn't like to think about the war and what happened in Auschwitz. But one December week his favorite customers, Jonathan and Ilana, invite him to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah at their home. Through the generosity of Jonathan and Ilana's loving family, Morris is able once again to embrace the traditional celebrations of his childhood and to remember.
