Doctors rush to repair Impulse's destroyed knee; they're fighting his own ability to heal which has partially repaired it, incorrectly, and the fact that his body metabolizes drugs almost immediately. Wonder Girl, Superboy and Robin are instructed to remain behind and Robin agrees - then immediately breaks them out. Beast Boy smells Deathstroke on the roof of the hospital. Deathstroke talks like a friend but the Titans are having none of it; they want revenge. Then Deathstroke reveals that he's really Jericho, in possessing of the mercenary. And that he'll kill, if necessary, to keep the Titans from reforming. Meanwhile, in a secret church, a group of worshippers gather around a crucible full of blood.
