The universe is trying to correct itself after the loss of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman... but the powerful energies now wielded by Enigma and Morgan Le Fay have prevented things from settling. With Despero lost to them, they have made contact with the savage Konvikt in an attempt to entice him to join their Trinity.

The JSI, aided by the Justice League is managing to fight back the chaos. Unsure if risking everything he's accomplished to follow the dream of a better world, Carter Hall takes back his old equipment, preparing to join the fight once more on the front lines. But the apparent victories are meaningless. Tarot can see the Worldsoul struggling, and failing to solidify. She comes ot the realization that her captors are not done with her yet.
