Having once more survived an encounter with the X-Men, Magneto is borne by his mutate slave Amphibius to a small island off the coast of the Savage Land. There he finds the makeshift home of Karl Lykos, and the amnesiac Bobby Drake. When he discovers the geothermal equipment set up on the island, he plans as Lykos did, to use it to sustain his flagging powers.
But neither Sauron nor Magneto count on the arrival of Lorna Dane and Havok, adding two more X-Men to the mix... and just the rattling that Bobby Drake needs to reclaim his memories.
Meanwhile, aboard a decrepit ocean freighter, Cyclops, Marvel GIrl and Candy Southern are sold to their mortal enemies... the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants!
