Superboy, Steel, and the fifth Superman are launching their assault against Engine City. Their plan is working well enough to begin with, but they are unable to prevent the launch of the bomb that will transform Metropolis into the second Engine City. Superboy hitches a ride in an attempt to prevent detonation, but it's a fast bomb, and he's got no background in missile design.
