The Trials of Shazam

With a word, all of the power of the Marvel Family was snatched away, and surged into Billy Batson, formerly Captain Marvel. Mary Marvel lies in a coma at the hospital with severe burns covering her body. She was fighting a fire harpy when her powers vanished. Sitting by her bed, lightning strikes young Freddie Freeman as he says the name Shazam, and spirits him to the Rock of Eternity.Fate has chosen Freddie to succeed Billy as the acolyte of the power of Shazam as Billy now sits in the Wizard's place. But the rules of magic have been re-written since the Spectre ended the last age of Magic. The acolyte of Shazam will now have to maintain the delicate balance between our world, and the world of magic. And this is not a power that can be given. Freddie will be tested by each of the gods of magic that contribute to the power of Shazam.
