Having escaped Arkham Asylum, Professor Ivo retreats to an isolated town where he builds androids to act as his friends. Some of these have the power to absorb superheroes' powers and it is these Amazoids that draw the attention of the Justice League.Doubting her abilities and her purpose for being on the team, Ice is captured by Ivo and the rest of the League launch a rescue attempt, battling the Amazoids to get to her. While captured, however, Ice learns that the purpose of the Amazoids is to kill the immortal, disfigured and lonely Ivo. As the Amazoids leave the League and gather round Ivo, they attempt to kill him at his command but fail due to his immortality.Ice, having gained GL Guy Gardner's power ring, wishes she could help him; with her willpower and good heart, the ring cures Ivo's difigurement as the League arrive.
