All The Swamp Thing's Men

The Louisiana gubernatorial race is dominated by a pair of mediocre to bad choices. The Democrat is incompetent and the Republican is a racist. So a liberal activist group called the Bon Ton Rollers nominates Swamp Thing as their candidate! And folks interviewed seem to like the idea: he polls near 20%! And apparently, the fact that he's not human does not disqualify him. Gene LaBostrie brings Tefé a present: a kitten. Liz leaves Chester to go to Portland and someone she loves there. She is as kind as she can be, but Chester is torn up and walks through the swamp to reach his friends the Hollands. Swamp Thing finds Liz through a flower she wears, and they say their goodbyes. The incumbent and challenger gubernatorial candidates are both upset by Swamp Thing's poll numbers and seek strategies from their advisors. Chester wakes up with a terrible hangover, but maybe a bender was what he needed, at that time. News reporters go to Gotham City and misread Commissioner Gordon's answer to a question as an Batman, endorsing Swamp Thing for governor of Louisiana! News reporters next visit Houma, seeking a guide to help them find Swamp Thing, whom they want to interview! And a man named Merle blames Swamp Thing for the loss of his right hand - and has a shotgun fixed where the missing limb used to be. With a booze bottle in his left hand he has everything he needs to brew up a tragedy!
