Gambit and the other free X-men take on the Starjammers, and learn they are really Skrulls in disguise. The combat leads them planetside, where they make a similar discovery about the versions of Professor X, Wolverine, Psylocke and Jubilee they face. Though imprisoned, Xavier isn`t powerless, and he manages to influence the traitors enough to weaken them before finally freeing himself. He takes out his own duplicate by force, and manages to free the other prisoners. With this victory won, he taps Storm`s thoughts and learns of events back home. He and Lilandra part company once again so they can each deal with their own emergencies.
