Thunderbolts, Vol. 1

The Redeemers (kind of new Thunderbolts) invade the Commssion's base to stop Gyrich's plan, but he is ready for them, with nanoprobes that seize control of their bodies - except for the new Citizen V, determined to complete the mission by himself. But... he might not have to, because the original Thunderbolts have come for the same reason! Gyrich then pits the Redeemers he has captured against the Thunderbolts! But... even after this fight disables the nanoprobes inside the Redeemers, MACH-2 discovers Gyrich has functioning nanoprobes inside of HIM! Someone has "nudged" him into acting on his fantasy of destroying all superhumans! Hawkeye uses this to blackmail Val Cooper and the CSA into presidential pardons for the rest of the Thunderbolks, but he will go to prison, and the Thunderbolts cannot function as heroes again. Who will take up this mantle?
