The High Evolutionary has undone the mutant gene on a global scale, and mutants everywhere have lost all of their powers. For Cannonball, this happens mid-flight, leaving him to plummet into San Francisco Bay. The members of the team struggle to come to terms with what may be a 'normal' life. Tabitha happens across a young boy who's mutant gifts were only beginning to manifest, and who will go to dangerous lengths to prove to the world that he's special.
