A purple man walks into a bank and asks for money, which is freely given. Realizing his error only after the purple man has left, the bank teller calls the guards to help him. They capture the purple man, and the courts assign Matt Murdock to defend him. The purple man commands the guards to release him and leaves with Karen, despite Matt's protests. Daredevil pursues, but is mobbed by a crowd under the purple man's control. Daredevil devises a ploy to get Karen back and trap the purple man by taping a confession, and blocking the crowd's view of his strange purple skin.
