When investigating a power drain from space, Reed sends out an ion beam. The beam is hijacked by an alien intelligence, and used to transport the supreme leader, called the Suzerain, back to Earth. She arrives, but is followed by a Skrull, who the FF manage to defeat. She tells them that her people suffered a similar power drain to the one the FF are experiencing, and they learn it was caused by the Skrulls. The FF decide to help her people, but Johnny decides to stay behind for a while and get his life back in order. He receives an invitation to Security University, a campus for celebrities, where a failed attack appears to be a random lab accident.
