Eve of Destruction
The X-Men try to talk Galactus out of attacking, but to no avail. Shadowcat does convince Warlock, Thunderbird and Captain Marvel to help them, and regroups with Wolverine and the others before they leave. They fly out in an escape craft, and use its built-in stasis fields to fly back to Earth in suspended animation, taking the long route that gets them home around the same time they originally left.
