Desperate to find a way to match Superman and help in defending the planet against the alien invasion, as well as the alien heroes who have fallen under it's influence, Batman bonds with the Blackrock... not knowing that his actions would doom him. Superman recovers from the alien influence, and is now the only thing that stands between the blackrock aliens, and their dominion over the Earth.
