On Earth 3, the Challengers from Beyond battle the Crime Society and manage to hold their own until the Society bring in reinforcements. The Jokester arrives and attacks the Society, giving the Challengers time to join in once more. Holly Robinson writes a letter to Selina Kyle telling her of her suspicions about the Athenian Women's Shelters but the letter is destroyed by someone in the shelter before being sent.Mr Mxyzptlk is forcibly pulled from the fifth dimension to an unknown dimension. In Turkey, Eclipso coerces Mary Marvel into joining her. Karate Kid and Una, following the lead Mr. Orr gave them, find Buddy Blank and ask for his help. Jimmy Olsen is tested in Cadmus with shocking results as his body swells and deforms. On Earth 3, the Challengers and the Jokester are saved by Bob the Monitor who, having ascertained that Ray Palmer is not on that Earth, takes them to another with the Jokester tagging along. Monarch arrives moments later and offers the Society the chance to stand with him against the Monitors. The Monitors themselves decide that Bob must be stopped at all costs.
