The story goes that Nekron allowed a certain number of heroes to return to life to seed his attempts at domination. Oliver Queen was one of those heroes.

The issue opens by quickly recapping the life and times of the illustrious Oliver Queen before diving into familiar Black Lantern territory. As seen in the main Blackest Night book, Ollie is now an undead disciple of Nekron, ensnared by a black lantern ring and unable to control his actions.
