The Hangman
Doctor Robert Dickering enjoys reading weird mystery tales to the children in his care. He reads one about a legendary Hangman, who was unjustly accused of spying during the Civil War, and made a deal with a powerful entity to save his life. What the children don't realize is that Dickering is reading them his own biography.
