Alvin, Simon, and Theodore are three adorable little chipmunks that live in the forest until their tree is cut down, and brought into the city. There they find Dave a musician inside a record producing company, that he has had many failed attempts at. This cute little comedy is great for all ages. It follows the basic story line of the older version of the cartoons, with some hilarious scenes. Dave throws the chipmunks out of his house when he first realizes he brought them home from the record producer's office, until he realizes that they can sing. The chipmunks practice with Dave until they get good enough that he can show them to the producer. They end up getting a record deal. The producer, and Dave don't see eye to eye on the matter. Dave wants what's best for the chipmunks, and the producer just wants more money. You'll have to watch it to see how it plays out.

Alvin (Justin Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler) and Theodore (Jesse McCartney) want to win a $25,000 prize in the battle of the bands when they return to school. The contest is part of a Save The Music program at the school. They seem to have everything wrapped up when they meet the match of their lives. Three female chipmunks known as the Chipettes, Brittany (Christina Applegate), Eleanor (Amy Poehler) and Jeanette (Anne Faris) are giving them a run for their money in the contest. How will the three male chipmunks react to the new competition?
