Clerks 92 min. R 1994
It starts out as just another ordinary day at a New Jersey convenience store as Dante (Brian O’Halloran) and Randal (Jeff Anderson) sell cigarettes, rent out videos and deal with a host of increasingly bizarre customers. But Dante soon faces a choice between his current steady girlfriend Veronica or his old high school flame Caitlin. Dante must sort out his romantic woes while suffering through another trying day at work, all the while venting to Randal about his fears, concerns, and opinions on the “Star Wars” trilogy. When Dante finally decides which woman to choose, the resulting chaos ensures that this will prove anything but another ordinary day behind the counter.
Clerks 2 97 min. R 2006
One morning, Dante arrives for work at the QuikStop, only to find that it is on fire. Dante and his pal, Randal, must then find work at another dead-end job for the fast-food chain, "Mooby's". The story begins on Dante's last day at Mooby's as he is set to move to Florida with his fiance. Dante is in love with his boss, Becky (Rosario Dawson) and a past relationship between the two is revealed. Throughout the day, the pair make fun of customers and are also the brunt of a few jokes which Randal doesn't find funny. Randal plots an entertaining farewell bash at the restaurant for Dante and a few other friends that is sure to leave you laughing. The farewell party has a major effect on not only the lives of Dante and Randal but their friends as well.
