Ned(Liev Schreiber) is married with Jeannie(Helen Hunt) for 19 years and has two boys named Ethan and Jonah and working as a scriptwriter for a TV series titled "Mercy Medical", containing explicit sexual scenes and a lot of violence, brutality and incest, so Garrett wants as producer. Since the direction of the show is not how Ned wants to be , they have difficulty in developing the script of an episode and Garrett suggests to team up with Robin(Carla Gugino) to be able to meet the deadline for submission of the material. But Robin is a liberal and sexy woman who occasionally use drugs, who lives in an apartment with walls of glass that offers a wonderful view of New York and engages in some transient erotic adventures.
