Where can $17,000 be found in one week? That is the question Durell (Ice Cube) and LeeJohn (Tracy Morgan) must answer. Durell faces the unpleasant thought of losing contact with his young son when he learns that ex-girlfriend, Omunique, (Regina Hall) has plans to move away. She has become deep in debt to the tune of $17,000. Durell and LeeJohn are no strangers to crime, having been small-time criminals since their youth. Most of their past plans have ended in failure due to their bungling efforts. But this time, they believe they have hatched a fool-proof scheme, they plan to rob their church. Unfortunately for them, they end up taking some of their friends and church members hostage and their dismay discover someone has already pulled off the robbery. They end up spending the night in church with some strong believers in the Lord who urges them to change their ways.
