Frozen River (Blu-Ray)

Ray Eddy (Melissa Leo) finds herself desperate for income after her husband, a gambling addict, runs away with the family’s seed money. After searching in vain for him at a casino, she loses her car to a thief, who turns out to be a Mohawk Indian woman, Lila (Misty Upham). Lila is in a similarly desperate financial situation with her own family. Ray and Lila decide to join forces to gain income illegally by smuggling immigrants across the frozen Hudson River. Together, they must try to survive the dangerous river, as well as avoid being caught by the authorities.
