Young misfit, David Rice (Hayden Christiansen) accidentally discovers he has the ability to teleport himself anywhere at will. Naturally, he leaves his alcoholic father's house and embarks on a life of adventure, 'jumping' all over the world to surf and party and, of course, to rob banks. All the while, David is unaware that his strange activities are being monitored by a centuries-old, secret organization called The Palladins and another powerful teleporter, Griffin (Jamie Bell). Agent Roland, leader of The Palladins, discovers David and nearly kills him, but David escapes and goes to see his old dream-girl, Millie (Rachel Bilson), inadvertently putting her in danger as well. The Palladins attack the couple in Rome, but with the aid of Griffin and David's estranged Mother (Diane Lane), they escape. Now, Agent Roland's only hope of capturing David is to kidnap Millie and force the 'jumper' to come to him resulting in a battle of biblical proportions staged across the entire globe. Not only must David defeat Agent Roland, he must also battle Griffin in order to save himself and his love.
