Menace Ii Society (Blu-Ray)

“Menace II Society" sees seven days of a newly graduated Caine Lawson (Tyrin Turner) who tries desperately to escape his fate in the violent existence of the projects of Watts, California. Having just escaped a robbery with his friend, O-Dog (Larenz Tate), Caine realizes that this is not the life he wants and tries ever so hard to rise up from it. In desperation we are shown back flashes that show how Canine’s father, Tat Lawson (Samuel L. Jackson) made his main income from the drug epidemic that hit Watts seven years before this along with his how his mother, Karen Lawson (Khandi Alexander), a heroin addict, was strung out most of the time forcing Caine to raise himself. Caine learns that it’s hard to leave what you know but not impossible.
