Angie King (Letoya Luckett) is a twenty three years old girl who lives a happy but slightly restricted life under her father; a preacher in Augusta, Georgia. In order to experience her life on her own, she joins a traveling gospel show. Angie falls in love with Devlin (Durrell ‘Tank’ Babbs), the male lead of the play. Devlin starts abusing Angie both physically and mentally, and Angie longs for the peace of her home. Unfortunately she is scared of going home without making a success of her life and is scared that her father does not love her anymore.
