Promotion, The

The assistant manager of a supermarket Doug Stauber (Seann William Scott) is eagerly waiting to be promoted to manager of a new supermarket of the same chain. This promotion is crucial to him due to his financial difficulties after a misguided real state deal. When a new co-worker, Richard (John C. Reilly) shows up and is considered for the same promotion Doug will try anything he can think of to make sure he and not Richard gets the dreamed promotion. Richard however is not going to give up without a fight and the two men get immersed in a vicious workplace war of attrition.
