Set It Off (Blu-Ray)

Set it Off is a tale of a stressed out woman providing for her brother, Stony Newsom (Jada Pinkett Smith) is pushed over the edge when her younger brother, Stevie is killed in a case of mistaken identity due to guilt by association. Cleo (Queen Latifah) is a lesbian ex-con turn mechanic who spends her time under the hood in more ways than one. Tisean (Kimberly Elise) is a struggling mother who has her daughter taken away from her by child services. Finally there is Frankie (Vivica A. Fox) is a bank clerk who looses her job after a robbery of her place of work. Events of circumstance bring these four friends together to plot the ultimate bank heist to answer all their problems. After their first success the four friends plot their next job having been bitten by the ‘criminal bug’. The only draw back is Detective Strode (John C. McGinley) is ever so close to discovering the identities of the girls. Things take a turn for the worst when three of the four friends are killed. Who dies, who lives and who gets the money in this rollercoaster ride of desperate criminal activity.
