Bobby Boucher (Adam Sandler) is a water boy par excellence. He takes his job very seriously. He gets no respect from the college football players he serves his most precious beverage. It leads to him losing his position because his peculiar preoccupation with the best quality water disrupts the team. Bobby notices a sanitation problem with another team and offers his services. Again he gets no respect but is encouraged to defend himself by Coach Klein (Henry Winkler). When football players talk about Bobby’s Momma (Kathy Bates), this meek bayou boy takes out his frustrations with gusto. When Coach Klein sees Bobby's moves and offers him chance to actually play as a tackle. Bobby's momma is not happy when she hears her boy is being given the opportunity to go college. She's even more upset when she hears he's going to be play the "foosball". Then there’s the girl factor: Momma doesn’t allow girls to come around. But bad girl Vicki Vallencourt (Fairuza Balk) has her eye on Bobby. Can Bobby help the team? Will he get the girl? Will Momma come around? Have a sip of water while you watch.
