An exceptional documentary retracing 100 years of the history of the Le Mans 24-Hours race. The story begins with the first Grand Prix de l'Automobile Club de France in 1906, the year in which the Automobile Club de l'Ouest was founded. Seventeen years later, the same association decided to create an international endurance race. The first-ever "24 Heures du Mans" was held in 1923, and in 2012 the race will be held for the 80th time. Prestigious brands, exceptional drivers, and a wealth of human, sporting and technological challenges, portrayed in this film up to 2006.
